Asset Collection Guides

These guides walk you through all the operations available when you work with the content of an asset collection. They are organized in the same way as the tabs you will see when you click on an asset collection – starting with the first tab which is an “Editor Application”. Name of this first tab will change depending on the type of collection.

Editor application lets you view, create and modify information stored in an asset collection. It offers a large range of functionality including search, query, creation of asset lists, tasks and comments.

An asset collection’s dashboard summarizes various kinds of status and quality measurements that are relevant for that type of collection.

The Settings view lets you view and modify asset collections that are included in this collection. This view also lets you view and modify prefix and namespace definitions.

User Assignment

In the users tab, a manager of the asset collection can set permissions to the collection for other users.

TopBraid EDG lets you load metadata and data from external sources such as spreadsheets, RDBMs, DDL files, JSON, RDF files and other formats – with flexible mapping to EDG models.

TopBraid EDG lets you export metadata and data to JSON-LD, RDF/XML, N-Triples, Turtle, TriG, JSON, CSV, TSV and XML through pre-built functions and by using GraphQL queries.

The transform page in an asset collection lets users run various transformation operations that will modify the asset collection they are working. This includes executing SHACL or SPIN rules, converting OWL axioms to SHACL constraints and moving data to other collections.

Reports View for an asset collection lets you generate certain standard reports such as comparison and statistics. Custom reports are also possible.

Asset collection management functions are only available to managers of that collection. They include clear, delete, clone, and various configuration options for the asset collection.

Comments, Tasks and Jira Integration

TopBraid EDG allows for collaboration amongst it users through the comments and tasks features as well as a Jira integration.
