Data Graphs Asset Collection
Licensing and Enablement
The availability of any asset collection is determined by what is (a) licensed and (b) configured under Server Administration. To install a license or to view the currently licensed features, see Setup > Product Registration. To configure which licensed collection types are currently enabled or disabled, see Setup - EDG Configuration Parameters.
For general licensing information and available asset collections and packages, see the TopQuadrant website.
Data Graphs are general collections, used for instances of classes defined in user-designed ontologies. This means that you, as a user, decide what data to store in a data graph. Ontology classes used by data graphs must be SHACL enabled as: (1) node shapes, and (2) public classes of their ontologies. For details, see ontology Ontologies > SHACL Enablement. Data Graphs is an add-on feature to TopBraid EDG.
When creating a new Data Graph, select an Ontology that will define it. Only Ontologies that use GraphQL features are listed on the create screen. Classes that may have searchable/editable data must be identified in the Ontology as follows:
- they must be defined as SHACL node shapes
- they must be declared public in the GraphQL Schema section of the class form
After creating a new Data Graph, you can specify the Main Class through the Manage tab if desired. This will determine the default asset type selection for the Search Results panel in the editor page. This setting can be changed at any time. All classes are still available in the type selector dialog.
Please see the Asset Collection Guide for all the general features of asset collections such as import/export, editing, user permissions, reports and settings.
